3 Best QLED TVs Under $1000

What’s the best QLED TV under $1000?

QLED technology stands for Quantum Dot Light Emitting Diode. The unique part about QLED TVs compared to standard LED TVs is the quantum dots. Unlike LED TVs, QLED TVs can produce more detailed and defined primary colors with heavier saturation.

Considering QLED TVs are a little pricier due to its higher quality picture, it’s rare to find a TV below $1000. However, we managed to find the three best QLED TVs at a more affordable price running below $1000.

In Short, Here Are The Best Affordable QLED TVs Below $1000

  • TCL 55R625
  • Samsung 49-inch
  • Samsung QN55Q60RAFXZA

1. TCL 55R625

First up, the TCL 55R625 is an excellent bang for the buck big-screen TV for gaming. Not only does it produce stunning 4K resolution, but it’s a Roku Smart TV, as well. With the built-in Roku, you can stream from Netflix, YouTube, Disney+, Hulu, Prime video, or Apple TV. You can also choose from additional 4000+ streaming channels.

In terms of picture quality, you will be highly satisfied. The ultra high definition provided by Dolby Vision produces fabulous graphics. Along with the LED backlighting, it has excellent contrast, color, detail, and profound blacks via control zones. With its QLED technology, quantum dots are used to emit light. This, primarily, produces superb picture quality for a much lower price than OLED.

One of the things I thoroughly enjoy about this TV is the Auto Game Mode feature. Not only does the Auto Game Mode significantly reduce the risk of lagging, but it also enhances the motion graphics and overall picture quality. On the sides, you will find 4 HDMI ports, 1 USB input, optical audio out, Ethernet port, and a headphone jack.

Overall, the TCL 55R625 is a fantastic 4K TV with a 55-inch screen. Not only is it affordable for the size and quality, but it also offers many Smart features. One of the unique selling points is its Auto Game Mode. Thus, this TV is highly recommended for gamers looking for a budget-friendly 4K TV with a 55-inch screen.

Users Say: “Wow, I had the pleasure of seeing the 65″ version of this television at a tech show this week and was absolutely blown away by the picture quality. I’d argue that it’s along the lines of the Samsung Q70 — it’s backlit versus edge-lit (which the Samsung Q60 is), and full array. You cannot go wrong with this price either: there’s just no current set on the market that can compete from a price standpoint. TCL has REALLY stepped it up.”

Users Say: “Awesome tv. Remote control is a little difficult to use (e.g., to control youtube). Overall, very pleased with this purchase. I did pre-order this on amazon. The price dropped by $100 when it shipped. Despite the description saying that I would get the lowest price, Amazon customer service would not refund the price difference. Lots of fine print to read about that. I should have returned the tv and ordered it at the lower price. I will *never* pre-order on Amazon again.”

Users Say: “The 2019 Samsung QLED Q60R 65” has been such a marvel to own. This is the perfect starting point for consumers who want a premium QLED TV without breaking the bank. The edge-lit QLED screen is truly a joy to watch. The Quantum HDR 4X brightness and vivid colors really is a sight to see. I haven’t seen any noticeable light bleed on the edges, and it performs really well in well-lit rooms. Ambient mode is another feature that is impressive. I tested the UHD content in YouTube, Netflix and Vudu and was thoroughly impressed at the level of crisp detail. Next I tested gaming on the Xbox One S. Having four HDMI 2.1 inputs really gave me multiple setup options. I turned on Game Mode and here is where I was blown away. I tried several games (Gears of War 4, Assassins Creed Origins, Tomb Raider). I would recommend turning Game Motion Plus off to reduce lag. I also was able to update the settings on the Xbox One S to a resolution of 120Hz @ 1440p. This paired with Freesync, made my gaming experience overwhelmingly enjoyable. Lastly, Integrating Smarthings brings a whole new element of fun. I get notified when my Samsung washer and dryer are done, and I can turn on/off lights around my house.
