10 Best Waterproof Earbuds For Running (Wireless)

What are the best earbuds for running that are waterproof/sweatproof? Besides water, the number one most important thing we runners need during an exercise is our music!

Before technological advancements in recent years, most of us went through several earbuds as they all died from sweat damage. Many runners, hikers, and weightlifters slowly started to catch on to the waterproof earbuds that have been slowly reaching the market.

However, not all sweatproof earbuds were created equally. Most of us have different budgets and expectations in what we need out of wireless earbuds. Sound quality, build quality, Bluetooth connection, comfort, secure fit, noise isolation, and battery life are all essential factors that must be calculated, as well.

Nonetheless, after extensive research and testing; We narrowed it down to the 10 best waterproof/sweatproof earbuds for runners.

In Short, Here Are The Best Wireless Waterproof/Sweatproof Earbuds For Running

  • Xmyth
  • TOZO T10
  • APEKX
  • Meidong KY06A
  • Letscom
  • KNPAILMY
  • AMINY
  • Boltune
  • VISLLA

1. Xmyth

First up, the Xmyth is an affordable and highly-rated pair of water-proof wireless earbuds for running. There are many reasons why we love this pair. For one, it has a very secure wireless connection with Bluetooth 5.0. The sound quality is extremely good for the low price.

They have a great bass response, well-balanced frequencies between the highs and mids, and overall very clear. However, they don’t match up with higher-priced earbuds. Another thing you may appreciate is its noise-cancellation capabilities. It helps reduce the lower frequencies, and ambient noise in you’re outside environment.

With a built-in microphone, these earbuds offer decent phone call quality. The call quality is very good while in a quiet environment. However, they are not the best while in a more noisy environment. These earbuds offer a decent battery life of roughly 5 hours of continuous playtime. In most cases, 5 hours is more than enough to last you a day, considering most of us won’t be using it for that long peer day.

The only downside I noticed was the minor lag issues at times while watching videos on the phone. Coming with a charging case, they are relatively convenient to charge.

Unfortunately, the charging case can be a bit of a hassle since it doesn’t stop charging the earbuds until that battery dies. Once the battery dies, the earbud’s battery life slowly begins to drain. This makes it difficult to charge the earbuds at night. Most people get used to the fact that they must charge the earbuds during the day.

Overall, the Xmyth is an excellent bang for the buck pair of earbuds that have a mix of many positive benefits. They are water-resistant for they don’t get damaged from sweat during exercise, have decent noise cancelling, secure Bluetooth connection, decent sound quality, and great build for the price. Another strong point with the APEKX is their comfort. The soft pliable ear hooks fit securely on the ears. The 6 Things To Look Out For When Purchasing Earbuds

1. Sound Quality

Especially for music listeners, the overall quality of sound is a massive factor in finding your perfect pair of earbuds. There are various factors that impact a pair of earbuds’ sound quality.

2. Comfort

The ability for earbuds to remain comfortable for extended periods of time without itchiness, annoyance, pressure, or ear pain. Considering many people use earbuds for commute, air travel, or work; Comfort is a vital factor.

3. Build Quality

What good are your amazingly sounding earbuds if they break in a few months? The overall durability and longevity are crucial for any investment you make. Especially for those who need earbuds for commute, it’s important they’re able to withstand vigorous traveling conditions consistently.

4. Noise Isolation/Active Noise Cancelling

Don’t be confused between active noise cancelling and noise isolation earbuds. They are both entirely different. Noise-cancelling technology is very unique. Unlike noise-isolating earbuds, noise-cancelling earbuds do not eradicate outside noise by physical insulation. Within the ear cups, they have a mini microphone that picks up the outside environmental noise. It then triggers a frequency entirely opposite to the outside ambient noise. Thus, canceling out most outside ambient sound.

5. Battery Life

Battery life is an overlooked subject when speaking about over-ear earbuds. Obviously, the only earbuds that have a battery life are those which are wireless. Many earbuds on the market do not have wireless capabilities. But for those who do, a more extended battery life becomes a convenient factor.

6. Added Features

A few examples of added features earbuds offer can be Bluetooth wireless capabilities or a built-in microphone for phone calls.
