We compared and contrasted each of these factors for the Boltune Bluetooth 5.0, Mpow H5, & Mpow 059
Especially for music listeners, the overall quality of sound is a massive factor in finding your perfect pair of headphones. There are various factors that impact a pair of headphones’ sound quality.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
The Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 has excellent sound quality. It is very clear without distortion, regardless of how loud the volume goes. The bass response is excellent, as well. Something I highly appreciate is the Bluetooth connection does not diminish the sound quality in comparison to the wired connection. Not only that, the sound quality isn’t negatively effected while ANC is turned on either.
For a good reason, these headphones are one of the highest-rated on the market. One of the reasons is its excellent sound quality for the low-price. It almost as if the songs you usually listen to have much higher energy than usual. Between all frequencies, it has a relatively even sound. The bass is not as heavy as many headphones, but it is well balanced.
These headphones are not one of the most popular and highly rated pairs on the market for nothing. The Mpow 059 has an excellent sound quality for the low price. It has 40mm neodymium drivers and Hi-Fi audio technology that produce a powerful and clear sound. If I had to critique the audio, the mids slightly lack. However, the average person who does not compare and contrast headphones and music gear on a daily basis most likely wouldn’t care. Most standard customer reviewers are a big fan of the audio.
Overall, the Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 has the best sound quality by a slim margin.
The ability for headphones to remain comfortable for extended periods of time without itchiness, annoyance, pressure, or ear pain. Considering many people use headphones for commute, air travel, or work; Comfort is a vital factor.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
With their Imitation protein earpads, these headphones are pretty comfy. It may take a bit of adjusting and breaking in to get them just right. Overall, I give them a 7.8 out of 10 for comfort.
These headphones are very comfortable for small to medium-sized heads. However, they may be a bit tight on larger heads. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons I got these for my girlfriend is due to their flawless comfort for either small or medium-sized heads. Putting them on feels like your putting on next to nothing. At the same time, they fit snugly on your head without movement or annoyance. To my medium-sized head and my girlfriend’s small head, I give these headphones a 10 out of 10 for comfort.
These headphones are very comfortable to wear, and they cover the ears. With the soft synthetic leather earpads, they are very comfortable. They don’t get sweaty or itchy after extended periods, whether you wear glasses or not. However, after a few hours, the shallow earcups build a bit of pressure. You may need to take a break every 4-8 hours. Overall, I give it an 8 out of 10 for comfort.
Overall, the Mpow H5 is the most comfortable of the three.
What good are your amazingly sounding headphones if they break in a few months? The overall durability and longevity are crucial for any investment you make. Especially for those who need headphones for commute, it’s important they’re able to withstand vigorous traveling conditions consistently.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
These headphones have a good build. Not incredibly surprising, but slightly better than average for the price. The rotatable ear cups are a very convenient factor to have.
The build quality is good for the price but overall, just decent. While the design looks very good and even better in person, don’t expect maximum durability from any pair of headphones in this price range. However, the overwhelming majority of people claim it has excellent longevity. On the flip side, there is a group of reviewers who claim they don’t last too long. As of now, my girlfriend has not had any durability or longevity issues. They can be folded quite nicely for easier portability.
One of the main factors that keep the Mpow 059 at a low price is its plastic build quality. However, it is a tough plastic that feels quite durable for its low-price. A tough metal supports the hinges, and the buttons are sturdy. Overall, the build quality and longevity are more than acceptable for the affordable price with a 7 out of 10. According to our research, these headphones are able to withstand traveling conditions.
Overall, all three of these are tied for build quality.
Noise Isolation/ Active Noise Cancelling
Don’t be confused between active noise cancelling and noise isolation headphones. They are both entirely different. Noise-cancelling technology is very unique. Unlike noise-isolating headphones, noise-cancelling headphones do not eradicate outside noise by physical insulation. Within the ear cups, they have a mini microphone that picks up the outside environmental noise. It then triggers a frequency entirely opposite to the outside ambient noise. Thus, canceling out most outside ambient sound.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
What shocked me the most was this pair’s impressive noise-canceling capabilities. It uses AMS as3435, which is one of the latest ANC technologies in the current market. If I were to review this headphone without knowing the price, I would’ve guessed it was twice the price strictly due to its ANC abilities. I give the active noise cancelling abilities an 8.2 out of 10.
These headphones provide great active noise-cancellation at an incredibly affordable price below $50. Out of 10, I give the noise-cancellation an 8. Not perfect, but extremely good for the price. They do, however, eliminate the majority of noise on an airplane. I would say the Mpow H5 provides much better noise cancellation than most headphones below $100. In short, you will be more than satisfied for the price.
The Mpow 059 headphones do not provide active noise cancelling. Although these are closed-back headphones, their passive noise isolation is slightly poor. Some really enjoy the isolation, but many don’t believe it’s nearly enough. However, it does eradicate a sizeable amount of ambient noise. You will also get a bit of noise bleeding. At high volumes, people around you may hear a bit of what you’re listening to. Overall, I give the passive noise-isolation abilities a 4 out of 10.
Overall, the Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 has the best active noise cancelling.
Battery life is an overlooked subject when speaking about over-ear headphones. Obviously, the only headphones that have a battery life are those which are wireless. Many headphones on the market do not have wireless capabilities. But for those who do, a more extended battery-life becomes a convenient factor.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
These headphones provide a great 30-hour battery life.
A massive step up to the Mpow 059, the battery life is phenomenal with roughly 30-40 hours of continuous use. Not only do the manufacturers claim those numbers, but the vast majority of customers concur. Some say it will last a full week while using them for 4-5 hours a day. On the flip side, a few people are saying the battery slowly drains while the headphones are turned off. While that is not the case with my girlfriend’s Mpow H5, it’s certainly worth mentioning.
These headphones offer a solid 15-20 hours of battery life.
Overall, the Mpow H5 has the longest battery life.
Here we summarize each pair of headphones and talk about some of the added features.
Boltune Bluetooth 5.0
First off, it has two built-in microphones on each side of the headset. During phone calls, the other person can hear me loud and clear without any static or crackle. With its strong Bluetooth 5.0 connection, I highly appreciate the 66-feet of wireless range. The ANC technology, Bluetooth capabilities, and comfort make them a fantastic bang for the buck. I highly recommend them.
The Mpow H5 is a steller bang for the buck pair of headphones with Bluetooth capabilities. These headphones give you the option to either use them wired or wireless with Bluetooth connection. The range with Bluetooth is roughly 30 feet giving you more than enough leeway of use. It also has an exceptional built-in microphone that provides clear and crisp phone calls.
Coming in 8 different colors, the Mpow 059 is one of the most popular and affordable pairs of headphones on the entire market. They offer Bluetooth V4.1 capabilities giving 30-33 feet of wireless range. However, with a 3.5mm auxiliary cord, they can be wired, as well. The functions on the headphones consist of volume, back, forward, play, pause, and call. I’m surprised that the built-in microphone works very well for phone calls. I did have a few people on the other side of the phone call saying it was a bit hard to hear me while I was driving. However, the majority of the time, I had no complaints.
Overall, the Boltune Bluetooth 5.0 has the most impressive added features.
