We compared and contrasted each of these factors for the Mpow H5 & TaoTronics TT-BH060
Especially for music listeners, the overall quality of sound is a massive factor in finding your perfect pair of headphones. There are various factors that impact a pair of headphones’ sound quality.
For a good reason, these headphones are one of the highest-rated on the market. One of the reasons is its excellent sound quality for the low-price. It almost as if the songs you usually listen to have much higher energy than usual. Between all frequencies, it has a relatively even sound. The bass is not as heavy as many headphones, but it is well balanced.
The sound quality is decent. However, still suitable for the price point. In my opinion, the TaoTronics TT-BH060 selling point is not the sound quality but many of the other factors.
Overall, the Mpow H5 provides better sound quality than the TaoTronics TT-BH060.
The ability for headphones to remain comfortable for extended periods of time without itchiness, annoyance, pressure, or ear pain. Considering many people use headphones for commute, air travel, or work; Comfort is a vital factor.
These headphones are very comfortable for small to medium-sized heads. However, they may be a bit tight on larger heads. As a matter of fact, one of the reasons I got these for my girlfriend is due to its flawless comfort for either small or medium-sized heads. Putting them on feels like your putting on next to nothing. At the same time, they fit snugly on your head without movement or annoyance. To my medium-sized head and my girlfriend’s small head, I give these headphones a 10 out of 10 for comfort.
These headphones are incredibly comfortable, as well. You are easily to wear them for long durations without sweaty ears or discomfort. The earcups are made out of soft protein pads and a cushioned headband. Fortunately, they easily fit all head sizes without any issues. Overall, they are in the top 10 for most comfy headphones for extended periods on the market. I give it a 9.1 out of 10.

What good are your amazingly sounding headphones if they break in a few months? The overall durability and longevity are crucial for any investment you make. Especially for those who need headphones for commute, it’s important they’re able to withstand vigorous traveling conditions consistently.
The build quality is good for the price but overall, just decent. While the design looks very good and even better in person, don’t expect maximum durability from any pair of headphones in this price range. However, the overwhelming majority of people claim it has excellent longevity. On the flip side, there is a group of reviewers who claim they don’t last too long. As of now, my girlfriend has not had any durability or longevity issues. They can be folded quite nicely for easier portability.
I was highly surprised by the overall build quality for the price. They are sturdy and durable. Typically headphones in this price range are not suited for continuous travel. However, the TaoTronics TT-BH060’s robust durability is able to withstand vigorous traveling conditions. These won’t break easily and will certainly last a long time. You won’t be disappointed by the build. Overall, I give the build quality a 7.7 out of 10.
Overall, the TaoTronics TT-BH060 has a better build quality than the Mpow H5.
Noise Isolation/ Active Noise Cancelling
Don’t be confused between active noise cancelling and noise isolation headphones. They are both entirely different. Noise-cancelling technology is very unique. Unlike noise-isolating headphones, noise-cancelling headphones do not eradicate outside noise by physical insulation. Within the ear cups, they have a mini microphone that picks up the outside environmental noise. It then triggers a frequency entirely opposite to the outside ambient noise. Thus, canceling out most outside ambient sound.
These headphones provide great active noise-cancellation at an incredibly affordable price below $50. Out of 10, I give the noise-cancellation an 8. Not perfect, but extremely good for the price. They do, however, eliminate the majority of noise on an airplane. I would say the Mpow H5 provides much better noise cancellation than most headphones below $100. In short, you will be more than satisfied for the price.
The TaoTronics TT-BH060 provides great active noise cancellation for the price. It blocks out the majority of lower frequencies while reducing mid to higher frequencies. In other words, they work great for traveling since most engine noises, and ambient sounds are at lower frequencies. Many people claim these headphones work incredibly well for office use. Considering it blocks out most of the annoying lower frequencies for better focus, you can still hear somebody if they need to speak with you. However, it still reduces the background chatter by a decent amount.
Overall, the TaoTronics TT-BH060 has better active noise canceling by a slim margin.
Battery life is an overlooked subject when speaking about over-ear headphones. Obviously, the only headphones that have a battery life are those which are wireless. Many headphones on the market do not have wireless capabilities. But for those who do, a more extended battery-life becomes a convenient factor.
A massive step up the battery life is phenomenal with roughly 30-40 hours of continuous use. Not only do the manufacturers claim those numbers, but the vast majority of customers concur. Some say it will last a full week while using them for 4-5 hours a day. On the flip side, a few people are saying the battery slowly drains while the headphones are turned off. While that is not the case with my girlfriend’s Mpow H5, it’s certainly worth mentioning.
Like the OneOdio Y80B, these headphones give you a 30-hour battery life, as well.
Overall, the Mpow H5 has a more extended battery life.
