1. SKP PRO AUDIO PRO-9K
First up, the SKP PRO AUDIO PRO-9K is a great gooseneck microphone. Currently running below $100, this mic is exceptionally affordable and a great value. It has a dynamic microphone that is great at rejecting unwanted background noise. Another reason it’s fantastic at reducing background noise is due to its hypercardioid polar pattern.
Luckily, phantom power is not required to use it. Many people love using this microphone for church services, conferences, and speeches.
The SKP PRO AUDIO PRO-9K is an excellent bang for the buck. It has terrific sound quality that is very clear and loud. Most people wouldn’t tell it only costs about $50. In terms of the build quality, I give it an 8 out of 10. The only downside I noticed was the loosening of the base after a few months.
However, it never became detrimental. Overall, we are very satisfied with the SKP PRO gooseneck microphone and highly recommend it.

- Phantom power not required
- Polar pattern: Hypercardioid

2. Tascam TM-95GN
Next up, the Tascam TM-95GN is an excellent gooseneck microphone running below $100. With a strong base and on/off switch, it is a great choice for both podiums speeches, church, conference, and at-home use. Coming with an XLR, this mic requires 48V phantom power.
Something I like is the on/off button located on the base. While most people in the market don’t quite think of an on/off button for their first gooseneck mic purchase, believe me, it certainly comes in handy.
The Tascam TM-95GN produces exceptional sound quality for various reasons. For one, it has a condenser microphone, which is generally much more articulate than a dynamic mic. This mic also has a broad frequency response of 50Hz to 16 kHz. Another great spec is its high SPL handling of 130dB, allowing it to handle extremely loud audio.
Speakers or presenters with a loud voice will undoubtedly benefit from this mic. Overall, the Tascam TM-95GN is an underrated gooseneck microphone with an on/off switch located on the base. Producing exceptional sound quality for an affordable price, it’s a great choice.

3. Weymic Gooseneck G113
Coming with a plastic base, the Weymic Gooseneck G113 is another extremely cheap gooseneck microphone running below $40. While we were incredibly shocked by the sound for the low-price, we primarily recommend this mic for meetings, conferences, or at-home use.
Coming with the purchase, you get a 26-foot XLR to 1/4 cord, windscreen, and a power supply. It can either be powered with the included power supply or 2 AA batteries.
Like the previous unit, it has an articulate-sounding gooseneck microphone. The cardioid polar pattern is great at rejecting off-axis noise. Surprisingly, it has excellent sensitivity and relatively low self-noise for the price. The output level a bit lower than usual, so you may need to boost it a bit in the mixer.
However, the value this mic offers definitely supersedes the price. The only downside I noticed is the generally cheap plastic build. It’s best to be careful while traveling with it.
Details & Tech Specs
- Base
- Condenser mic
- Recommended use: Meetings, conferences, smaller church, or at-home use
4. KLIM Talk
Here’s another affordable desktop gooseneck microphone with a base. Running below $20, the popular KLIM Talk is highly rated across the board. It is powered by USB, and it’s effortless to get started. You will not need any extra drivers, software, or batteries.
The On/Off button located on the base is very convenient to have. This mic produces excellent sound quality. With a few tricks up its sleeve, the audio filter adds more authority to any voice type.
One of the most surprising attributes this microphone provides is its robust build quality. Nearly every mic in the $24 range, such as this one, has a weak build for obvious reasons. Shockingly, the KLIM Talk has a robust build quality that most expect from a much more expensive mic.
It’s made of both metal and sturdy plastic that feels tough enough to last as long as you need it. Overall, the KLIM Talk is an excellent gooseneck USB mic with a base at a low price. We highly recommend it for at-home use with a desktop or laptop.

The TKGOU is yet another great USB gooseneck mic. Running below $20 on the market, it is one of the most affordable gooseneck microphones on the current market. What surprised me the most about this unit is the impeccable sound quality. For one, it has a really low self-noise.
When you speak, it picks up the voice very clearly without any distortion, buzz, or unwanted hums. Although the mic is Omni-directional, it has a patented audio filter, which helps minimize background ground.
Coming in at 11.8 inches tall, 4.7 inches long, and 3.9 inches wide, it fits perfectly on any desk. The build quality was another thing that surprised me. For the low-price, it’s pretty tough and sturdy. To top that, TKGOU offers a staggering 5-year warranty.
Rather than an On/Off button, the base provides a mute button. Overall, it is hard to go wrong with the TKGOU for anyone in need of a USB gooseneck.

Recording in stereo, this microphone provides stunning sound quality. It has a hypercardioid polar pattern providing exceptional off-axis rejection. Considering the incredible background noise rejection with its noise-cancelling abilities, it’s best to speak about 1-inch from the mic.
The only downside I noticed with the Sound Tech GN-USB-2 is the fact that there is no on/off switch. Unfortunately, there are times when the mute button can automatically unmute itself. If you don’t want the microphone to unmute itself at times randomly, it’s best to unplug the mic when it’s not in use.
Overall, this USB gooseneck microphone provides stunning sound quality, durability, ease of use, and convenience. We highly recommend it.

Like most USB microphones, it is a simple plug-and-play system. No added drivers or software required to get it started. Both the build quality and design are very good. It is an overall great bang for the buck.
To be frank, the microphone’s sound quality is decent. While it’s of course, very good for the price, to my ears, the other USB microphones on this list have better sound quality.
