1. Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro

Rightfully so, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro true wireless earbuds are another one of the highest-rated pairs on the market. With incredibly powerful drivers, the earbuds produce full and clear sound quality. These earbuds are very bass-heavy for those who prefer it that way. Although the bass is rocking, it doesn’t get boomy or muddy either. It has a large sound stage as well for a full sound. You will be pretty satisfied with the overall sound. With a clear sound and no distortion, I give it an 8.7 out of 10 for sound quality. In terms of comfort, I would say these earbuds are designed for larger ears. Other ear sizes may need to take a break from them every few hours due to fatigue. I recommend these for larger ears. Coming with the purchase are many liquid silicone ear tips for finding the perfect size, as well.

These earbuds have a decent build quality. It’s nothing too exciting but not much to complain about either. Runners, hikers, and anyone physically active will enjoy its IPX4 sweatproof capabilities. Overall, I give it an 8.3 out of 10 for the build. These earbuds don’t provide active noise cancellation. However, the passive noise isolation is decent. However, the cVc 8. 0 noise reduction activates during phone calls for added clarity. Overall, I give it an average rating of 7 out of 10 for its passive noise isolation. On a full charge, they give you a solid 8-hour battery life. The charging case coming with the purchase adds an additional 24 hours. As a side note, they charge extremely fast.

One of the best attributes the earbuds offer is its incredible phone call quality. With its cVc 8. 0 noise reduction technology mixed with the quad-microphones, phone calls are clear and reliable on both ends. You’ll also appreciate its unique HearID technology, which customizes the audio EQ based on each individual. Overall, the Anker Soundcore Liberty 2 Pro is a fantastic choice of true wireless earbuds running below $150. It’s a great bang for the buck and a reliable choice. Users Say: “I listen to a lot of Dance Music. On these, the sound is awesome, provided you update the firmware. Prior to updating the sound had screw scratching noises with the synth percussion, and that was not good. Anker went above and beyond with my issue, and I am pleased to say that the firmware update fixed the scratching sounds. Now, these sound robust and crisp and what I would expect from an Anker product. Thank you Anker for updating the firmware and solving my issue. I’ll use these all the time now for exercising.”

2. Samsung Galaxy Buds

Next up, the Samsung Galaxy Buds is an excellent bang for the buck pair of true wireless earbuds well below $150. Here is yet another pair of incredibly popular earbuds with excellent ratings. You can either get this pair with or without the charging case. These earbuds produce exceptional sound quality that won’t leave you disappointed. They have a great bass response and decent highs, as well. I give it an 8.8 out of 10 for sound quality. Like the Galaxy Buds+ Plus, you get a few ear tip sizes to fit your ear how you want. These earbuds are very comfortable and fit your ear snug. Considering the nearly identical build as the Galaxy Plus, they are just as comfortable with a 9.6 out of 10.

With a sturdy but lightweight build, you will be happy with the overall design. These earbuds and the Galaxy Plus have the same build quality. The material made is high-quality and will leave you satisfied. Not to forget, they offer IPX2 sweat-resistant capabilities, as well. These earbuds don’t offer active noise cancelling. However, they do provide acceptable passive noise isolation. Strangely, I found their noise isolation abilities didn’t block out as much noise as its earlier version by a slight margin. Overall, I give it an 8.8 out of 10 for blocking out outside noise naturally. These earbuds offer “Ambient Mode,” as well.

These earbuds offer a decent battery life of 6 hours on a full charge. If you get the version with the charging case, the case adds an additional 7 hours. The Samsung Galaxy Buds provide decent call quality. It’s not as good as the Plus; however, it’s not bad either. Each earbud has two built-in microphones to pick up your voice. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Buds is an excellent pair of true wireless earbuds running below $150. What I like about them is the option to buy them with or without the wireless charging case.

Users Say: “Bought these on a sale (I was planning on holding out for pixel buds 2 until the sale happened). These things are really great, cannot recommend enough. Really great battery life with the small charging case, good sound, fit tightly in your ear. You can use them one at a time if you need to hear your surroundings. Pairing is super easy with an Android phone and there is an app that allows you to change EQ settings and touch pad functions. An active noise cancelling feature would have been great but for this price point I am very satisfied. I would highly recommend.”

 3. Apple AirPods

Of all the earbuds I’ve tested, there’s a reason why I decided to keep these. Come to think of it; there are numerous reasons why I’m keeping the Apple AirPods. I’m not the only one who’s more than satisfied with these earbuds. They’re one of the most popular and the absolute highest rated on the entire market. Starting with the sound quality, to my ears, it’s perfect. The Apple AirPods provide the very best sound quality true wireless earbuds can offer. All of the frequencies are perfectly balanced while maintaining a fair amount of separation. All the instruments are easily heard, leaving nothing out. The bass response is full and punchy, the mids are vibrant, and the highs are just right. Even at max volumes, you won’t hear any distortion or harsh frequencies. Compared to every other true wireless pair of earbuds, I give it a 10 out of 10 for sound quality.

The Apple AirPods are incredibly comfortable. They feel like nothing is on once put in. Even though their incredibly light on the ears, they stay securely in them. I’ve gone on many runs with them, and they’ve never yet gotten close to falling out. You will be very satisfied with their overall comfort and ability to stay in your ears. In terms of build quality, both the case and earbuds are robust and sturdy. The earbuds have not only survived multiple times hitting the ground, but they’ve also pulled through an accidental washer an dryer without a scratch. However, the manufacturer claims there not water-resistant. Contrary to that belief, I sweat with them at the gym all the time and have had no issues.

Where these earbuds significantly lack is their lack of noise isolation. Once put on, outside noise does not reduce naturally at all. They also don’t offer active noise cancelling, either. On a full charge, these earbuds give you 5 hours of continuous use. The wireless charging case adds an additional 24 hours. A feature that I thoroughly enjoy is its auto on/off. The moment you put the earbuds in your ear, they automatically turn on. If you take one-off, they both turn off. I find this feature is incredibly convenient. The wireless charging case comes in handy, as well. With its built-in mic, phone calls are incredibly clear without any issues. Overall, the Apple AirPods is the most reliable choice of true wireless earbuds under $150. It’s a fantastic bang for the buck, and I highly recommend it.

Users Say: “This is my first pair of AirPods. I love them. They are life-changing! The AirPods arrived in less than 24-hours of ordering. They were packaged in a sleek, white Apple AirPods box. I did not buy the “noise-canceling” AirPods, so I cannot rate that feature, but as far as the product appearance, sound quality, ease of use, great fit, easy to pair on Bluetooth, etc. I wholeheartedly give these AirPods 5 shiny gold starts.”

  • Auto-on once put on the ear
  • Convenient wireless charging case
  • Built-in microphone for clear phone calls

4. AUKEY T10

The AUKEY T10 is an excellent choice of true wireless earbuds for the competitive price. First things first, they produce a well-balanced and rich quality of sound. Both the bass and treble are slightly accentuated for a full but crisp audio. Both the graphene diaphragms and dynamic drivers genuinely add depth and a unique richness to the music. Overall, the sound quality outperforms its price. Coming with three sets of earbuds tips, you’ll surely find a comfy fit. The earbuds themselves fit nicely on the outer ear without pain or discomfort. With their ergonomic design, you’re easily able to wear them for extended periods without fatigue. I give them a solid 9.4 out of 10 for comfort.

Not only do they have great design, but the build quality of the AUKEY T10 is also another one of its strong points. They are robust and sturdy, which can withstand vigorous traveling conditions. The material used to make the earbuds are top-notch. Again, the overall build quality outperforms its price range, as well. You will also enjoy its IPX5 water-resistance capabilities making it entirely sweat-proof for runners. These earbuds don’t offer active noise cancelling technology. However, the passive noise isolation is pretty decent. Nothing too spectacular but good enough to leave most satisfied. This also depends on what ear tips you choose. These earbuds offer sufficient battery life of 7 hours. The charging case adds 17 hours, as well.

The only real area where these earbuds lack is its phone call quality. On both ends, the audio sounds a bit muffled and just flat out horrible. If you need earbuds for phone calls, it’s in your best bet to skip these. Besides that, the AUKEY T10 is an excellent bang for the buck pair of true wireless earbuds. They have fantastic sound quality, comfort, build quality, design, and noise isolation. We highly recommend it for anyone in need of great value earbuds that don’t need them for phone calls.

Users Say: “Great sound, fit, and battery life. Don’t overlook Aukey when you’re looking for high quality sound. These are tuned beautifully with great bass texture, natural mids, and smooth highs.”

 5. Jabra Elite Active 65t

Next in line, the Jabra Elite Active 65t is one of the more popular pairs of true wireless earbuds below $150. First things first, these earbuds have pretty good sound quality. If I had to be honest, it’s nothing too special compared to its price as it may slightly underperform compared to the others on this list. It comes with a companion app that gives you the ability to EQ the sound. Overall, the sound quality isn’t bad, but nothing special. I was expecting more for the price. I give it a 6.5 out of 10.

In terms of comfort, they are acceptable. You’ll enjoy the secure fit for activities and exercise. However, you may need to take the earbuds out every 3-4 hours to take a break. The build quality of these earbuds is decent. Again, not the best, but good enough for the most part. Parts seem a bit too plasticky for its price range. However, many people consistently abused them and put them through vigorous conditions, and they still work like new. You’ll be relatively satisfied with its overall durability. You’ll also appreciate its IP56 rating for resistance against sweat and dust. The Jabra Elite Active 65t is primarily designed for exercising.

Like most on this list, these earbuds don’t provide active noise cancelling technology. They do, however, provide decent passive noise isolation, which reduces outside noise by a fair amount. I give it a 5.5 out of 10 for its noise isolation. On a full charge, these earbuds provide 5 hours of continuous playtime. Its wireless charging case can add an additional 10 hours. Overall, the Jabra Elite Active 65t is a decent pair of true wireless earbuds below $150. It may not be the best on this list, but it certainly makes the top 9 in the price range.

Users Say: “Great quality sound! By far the most important feature for me was sound quality and these headphones have it in spades. Bass is great, nice crisp highs and no mid muddling. Battery lasts 5+ hours consistently. Fit is very secure despite the lack of inner ear prongs and they do not fall out even when running or mountain biking. Bluetooth connection never skips or drops. Tested many brands and these came out on top.”

6. Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Plus

The Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Plus is one of the newer true wireless earbuds running below $150. However, it didn’t make our top 9 list just because it’s newer. There are many reasons why we love them. For one, these earbuds produce exceptional sound quality. Each bud has a woofer and tweeter from the famous audio company AKG. The tweeter gives off sparkly highs accentuating every instrument clearly. You will also enjoy it’s deep and punchy low-end, as well. Compared to other earbuds in this price range, I give it a 9 out of 10 for sound quality.

Coming with three adjustable ear tip or wing sizes, you can pick the one that fits your ear best. But for most, the earbuds fit comfortably right out of the box. Like their previous model, you certainly won’t have any issues with their comfort. You’ll basically forget they’re even in. I give them a solid 9.6 out of 10 for comfort. In terms of build, they are light but sturdy. These earbuds are easily able to last a long time. Runners and those who exercise will also appreciate its IPX2 sweat-resistant capabilities.

These earbuds don’t have active noise cancellation capabilities. However, they are very good at blocking out outside noise by natural isolation. Once put in, a significant amount of ambient noise is significantly reduced. Something you may appreciate is its “ambient mode” feature. Once activated, it allows outside sounds into your ears in case you want to be aware of your surroundings. Overall, I give it a 9 out of 10 for passive noise isolation. One of the areas where the Galaxy Plus shines over its original version is its battery life. With an 11-hour battery life, you’re able to use them all day long. The case adds an additional 11 hours of battery life, as well. You will also enjoy how quickly they charge since only 3 minutes of charging gives you an hour of playtime.

One of the very best attributes these earbuds offer is its superb call quality. Each earbud has two external microphones and one internal mic. While on the phone, the earbuds filter out outside environmental noises automatically. Even in hectic places, you will be more than pleased with its precise and reliable phone call quality. The charging case coming with the purchase is very convenient and compact, as well. After opening the case, the earbuds automatically pair with the device they were originally paired to. You’ll also appreciate its ability to pair with two devices at once. Overall, the Samsung Galaxy Buds+ Plus is a fantastic pair of true wireless earbuds under $150!

Users Say: “Owned the original Galaxy Buds and AirPods. These are only a slight sound upgrade from the previous Galaxy Buds. They are considerably lighter and the battery life is significantly longer. The biggest difference from the original is the call quality. The caller won’t be able to tell the difference in you having the phone to your ear. Compared to the AirPods they’re more comfortable and sound better. You really can’t compare these to AirPod Pros because they are in a different price category.”

  • IPX2 splash-resistant (able to withstand sweat from workouts)
  • Able to pair to 2 devices at once.

  • Built-in microphone for fantastic call quality

7. TRANYA B530

Last but not least, the TRANYA B530 is the most inexpensive pair of true wireless earbuds on this list. But don’t let the low price fool you, they are fantastic for the price. With its Qualcomm chip supported by aptx, these earbuds outperform their price with their sound quality. All the frequencies are well balanced and clean. They produce a tad extra bass without sacrificing the other frequencies. Although the sound quality of these earbuds dramatically outperforms their price, they still get a solid 8.6 of 10 compared to the more expensive brands on this list.

Coming with three sized ear tips, you’re able to pick the most comfortable solution for your ears. These earbuds are extremely comfortable and fit securely, as well. I give it a solid 9.8 for comfort. Another thing these earbuds outperform their price in is build quality. The soft rubber material on both the case and earbuds are great. Both earbuds feel sturdy and able to last a long time. However, the build quality of the charging case is not top-notch. Compared to the more expensive earbuds on this list, I still give it a solid 8.5 out of 10 for the build. You will still be very satisfied. You will also enjoy its IPX5 water-resistant capabilities, as well.

These earbuds do not provide active noise cancelling. However, they do provide pretty good passive noise isolation. Once put on, it reduces outside noise passively by 15-20dB. I give it a solid 7.5 out of. You will also like their great battery life of 10 hours. It’s charging case adds an additional 7 recharges giving a total of 80 hours. With the purchase, you get a charging case, USB cord, and 3 different sized ear tip pairs. They have a built-in microphone for phone calls. However, the phone call quality is not as good as the others on this list. Overall, the TRANYA B530 is a superb bang for the buck pair of true wireless earbuds. Although they’re running well under $150, they still effortlessly made our list of the top 9.

Users Say: “Noise cancelling is such an amazing technology. The other side hears me well even in noisy streets. how to get it in such a tiny headset is mind blowing. sound quality is great, music has base and super clean, battery life is great, 8 hours, feel in my ear(s) is almost forgettable, and using one or both is seamless. Love them.”
