The song Kiss by Prince doesn’t have a bassline in the recorded version. However, two of my bands cover this song. After a few years of trying to formulate a bassline for this song, the version above is what came out to be the best sounding line for live performance. It’s what appeared to make the crowd dance the most in comparison to all of the other bass lines I attempted. Believe me, this bass line sounds much better with a real drummer in person.
