Top 4 Hybrid Smartwatches Under $100

First off, what exactly is a hybrid smartwatch? A hybrid smartwatch is essentially a traditional-looking watch with a few smart features. Unlike a standard smartwatch, they don’t have a touch screen, nor do they continuously need charging. Most people prefer the look of a conventional watch while utilizing the beneficial smart features of a smartwatch. Thus, hybrid watches were born.

Hybrid smartwatches come in major handy for passive use that a smartphone can’t do. They are fantastic for tracking health, fitness, and sleep monitoring.

Luckily, technological advancements in the industry helped bring some of the high-quality hybrid smartwatches to a reasonable price. After testing and extensive research; We formulated a list of the four best hybrid smartwatches under $100.

In Short, Here Are The Best Affordable Hybrid Smartwatches Under $100

  • Misfit MIS5028
  • Withings Move Hybrid
  • Fossil Men’s Commuter FTW1149
  • Fossil Women’s Neely

1. Misfit MIS5028

Previously running at $150, the Misfit MIS5028 recently had a massive price cut of $60. This affordable hybrid smartwatch is a great bang for the buck. Outside of the stylish look of a traditional watch, it offers many smart features. It tracks your steps, sleep, counts your calories, and delivers notifications.

One of the most outstanding features is its ability to hold a charge for one year straight. You’ll never need to take it off to charge it. After the battery life runs out, you must replace the battery.

This hybrid smartwatch signals a notification by vibrating. The smaller clock hand then points to the notification icon. Another feature you’ll surely appreciate is its waterproof capabilities. It can be submerged in water 164 feet deep. For the low price, you will be highly amazed by its overall build quality.

The watch head is durable and able to withstand vigorous conditions. Unfortunately, it does not provide a heart rate monitor.

One of my favorite features this watch offers is its sleep monitor. Not only does it track the duration, but it shows the quality of sleep, as well. You can view most of the smart features data via an app on your phone.

It’s compatible with iOS 9.0+ and Android 5.0+. Overall, the Misfit MIS5028 is an excellent hybrid smartwatch running below $100. We highly recommend it.

Tech Specs & Details

  • Interchangeable
  • Compatibility: Android 5.0+; iOS 9.0+
  • Strap Material

2. Withings Move Hybrid

Next up, the Withings Move Hybrid is a decent hybrid smartwatch running under $100. With various smart features, it’s a great choice to consider. Every moment of the day, it’s automatically tracking your distance, calories burned, and every activity your doing.

Not only does it track your sleep, but it monitors your pulse, as well. However, I don’t believe the sleep tracking is very accurate. If your dead set on finding an affordable hybrid with accurate sleep tracking, you’re better off with some of the others on this list.

With a minimalist design, it looks much like a simple traditional watch. Depending on your preference determines if you’ll like the straight forward look. One of the primary reasons it’s listed at such a low price is due to its plastic build quality. We don’t recommend this watch for extremely vigorous conditions. However, the build isn’t too bad for the price. But it is susceptible to scratches than other watches.

Your able to get this watch in nine different colors. However, each color comes with a different price tag. Some colors surpass $100. Like the previous watch, this one has an excellent battery life, as well. It lasts up to 18 months until you must change the battery. Not to forget, it provides 50 meters deep of water-resistant capabilities. Overall, the Withings Move Hybrid is a budget-friendly hybrid smartwatch with a traditional design with added smart features.

Users Say: “I am so happy I purchased this watch. I really wanted an activity tracker in order to keep track of my daily activity but I didn’t want to give up the look and feel of wearing a watch. This activity tracker/watch is the best of both worlds — it looks like a fun traditional watch but also tracks my steps during the day. It is pretty cool to see my steps & activity progress on the watch dial and also on the app. I am also super impressed by the sleep tracking. Every morning I wake up to check the health mate app and it gives me a breakdown of my sleep score based on duration, depth, regularity, and interruptions. The Withings Move doesn’t monitor your Heart Rate like the Withings Steel HR watch but I really didn’t need or really want the extra functionality”

Tech Specs & Details

  • Comes in 9 different colors (All priced differently)
  • Water-resistant up to 50 meters
  • Battery life: 18 months
  • Compatibility: iOS and Android️
  • Activity tracker
  • Integrates with Health Mate app for health tracking

3. Fossil Men’s Commuter FTW1149

Hybrid Smartwatches Under $100

Primarily designed for men, the Fossil Men’s Commuter FTW1149 is one of my personal favorite hybrid smartwatches under $100. There are a plethora of reasons why we love it. For one, it has a stunning design.

Everything from the strap, the face, and the materials used to design it are fantastic. It’s a great combination of the stylish traditional look and added smart features. Not to forget, it’s incredibly comfortable with a great fit.

In most cases, the battery life lasts roughly 1-year. Viewed through the companion app, It provides pretty accurate sleep tracking and activity tracking. It can also show your progress over extended periods. This watch alerts you by minor vibrations for notifications. Not to forget, it’s also water-resistant up to 165 feet.

The only downside I noticed is it works with limited apps. The apps that fossil didn’t specifically list doesn’t come with support and may cause issues. Overall, the Fossil Men’s Commuter FTW1149 is, in our opinion, the best affordable hybrid smartwatch below $100. Be sure to check out the reviews below.

Users Say: “Excellent combination of “regular” watch and smartwatch. I find myself looking at my phone less, as I can see with a glance who’s calling or texting. I also get notifications for Instagram and emails. I also use the fitness and sleep tracker, as well as the alarm. Many options to choose for your notifications. The app is simple and usable. It’s less complicated than it looks. Easy to learn functions. Another huge plus is no charging! I haven’t had to change my battery, and I’ve had it for over 4 months so far. If I had to choose one con, I guess it would be that I wish the dial glowed a little stronger in the dark. Overall, I’m very happy with this watch and recommend it if you like the style.”

  • Companion app shows sleep and activity
  • Waterproof up to 50 meters

4. Fossil Women’s Neely

Hybrid Smartwatches Under $100

Last but not least, the Fossil Women’s Neely is a remarkable hybrid smartwatch under $100 specially designed for women. Just recently, Fossil cut the price of this watch by $50. We are unsure if the price cut is permanent or temporary; there are multiple reasons why we love this watch. The design quality significantly surpasses its price by a long shot. It also has an excellent build quality, which outperforms its price, as well.

While looks and design are essential, this hybrid offers many smart features that unquestionably come in handy. It provides custom goal setting, activity tracking, a sleep monitor, and alerts you of notifications. This watch is explicitly designed to integrate with iPhone 5 and above or Android OS 5.0 and above. You would also appreciate its water-resistant capabilities able to withstand 100 feet deep. Not to forget, it offers a 6-month battery life.

With interchangeable straps, you can find your ideal fit. However, many women love the comfort as it is. The only downside of this watch is the few claims of people receiving a defective unit, which breaks prematurely. Overall, the Fossil Women’s Neely is an incredible hybrid smartwatch for women. Running under $100 after the recent price cut, it’s a phenomenal bang for the buck. We highly recommend it for women.

Users Say: “Super easy to use. Love that the batteries are cheap (think Walgreens /CVS regular store button cells) and I can change them myself very easily. I synced to my phone in a minute without issues. I can see the watchband getting dirty/nasty easily (only had it for a short time) so I will probably purchase a backup one at some point.
Looks beautiful on my small wrist – not big or chunky.”

Tech Specs & Details

  • Compatibility: Android 5.0+; iOS 9.0+
  • Water-resistant up to 100 feet
  • 6-month battery life
  • Designed for women
